TRAVEL DATES:
The Empath Grounding Retreat will be hosted March 10-16th, 2025. 

TRAVEL DESTINATION:
The Empath Grounding Retreat will be hosted in Thailand. To respect the privacy of all participants, specific details about hotels, excursions/transportation companies, restaurants, and other itinerary details will only be provided to those who submit their initial deposit.

PARTICIPANTS' AGES:

All participants must be 21 years of age or older to book a spot for this retreat. Companions are not required to be 21 years of age, and children are welcomed to attend. Only 1 child per adult. A deposit must still be made for all companions age 7 & up.

COMMUNICATION WITH HOSTS:

This retreated is hosted by The Meditation Family, Christopher "TheFallBackUp" and Ajané "WomanOfTheWomb." All communications with retreat participants will be conducted via email from contactus@themeditationfamily.com. Please ensure that your email address is correct when completing your booking so you may receive important documents and updates. You will also be required to join the WhatsApp travel group chat, which we will use to share updates before and communicate throughout the duration of your stay with us in Thailand.

DEPOSITS:
The initial deposit of The Empath Grounding Retreat is $400 for solo travelers and $600 for two travelers, and is nonrefundable. This fee secures your spot in the retreat and covers any fees incurred for the planning and execution of this retreat. 

REMAINING BALANCES:
Once you have paid the initial deposit for The Empath Grounding Retreat, will have four remaining payments to pay off the complete balance. For solo travelers, this will be four equal payments of $525, and four equal payments of $725 for two travelers. The payment schedule is as follows:

• November 15, 2024

• December 20, 2024

• January 17, 2025

• February 21, 2025

CANCELLATIONS:
Cancellations for the Empath Grounding Retreat must be made at least 30 days in advance of the scheduled date of the retreat in order to receive a refund of any additional payments made towards your trip (excluding the non-refundable deposit). Cancellations made less than 30 days in advance will not be refunded, however, you do have the option to transfer your spot to one of our April 2025 or May 2025 retreat dates. COVERED EXPENSES:

All fees paid toward The Empath Grounding Retreat will cover the following expenses:

- Access to the WhatsApp Travel Group for Trip Updates

- Ticket Booking Assistance (airfare not included in retreat cost)

- Private Transportation to and from Bangkok Airport on Travel Days

- Daily Fitness & Grounding Meditations

- Group Activities & Excursions

- Group Transportation During Excursions

- 7 day, 6 night Accommodations at Hotel/Villa (all rooms shared rooms)

- Daily Breakfast at Hotel/Villa Accommodations

- 3 Lunches

- Dinner for 6 Nights
 

UNCOVERED EXPENSES:

The following expenses are not included in your fees paid toward The Empath Grounding Retreat:

- Shopping and Souvenirs
- Tips/Gratuity for services and tour guides

- Independent travels and excursions not included in the itinerary

- Additional meals, lunches, snacks, beverages etc.

- Airfare (we will provide ticket booking assistance)

- Travel Insurance

AIRFARE:

Tickets are not included in the cost for the retreat and must be purchased no later than January 2025 so we may coordinate all transportation. Flights to Thailand will include at least 1 layover and will range from 23-24 hours. Thailand is up to 12 hours ahead of US times so you must pay close attention to your departure and arrival dates. In most instances, your departure date will be 2 calendar days before the arrival date to ensure that you arrive on the correct date for the retreat. We will assist you in booking your travel tickets.

 

VISA REQUIREMENTS:

If you are traveling from the United States or Canada and have a valid passport, then you do not need a visa to enter Thailand. You will receive a "visa on arrival" stamp at the airport that grants you up to a 30-day stay within the country. If you wish to stay longer, you may extend your visa on arrival at the immigration office in Thailand for an additional 30 days. Extending your trip is at your sole discretion and is not included in the cost or planning of The Empath Grounding Retreat.

 

TRAVEL INSURANCE:

Travel insurance is highly recommended for your travels to protect you from cancellations, delays, lost or damaged baggage, medical emergencies, and more. We recommend using Safety Wing, which offers medical and travel insurance across the globe for only $45/month (can be canceled at any time). This price covers one adult along with two minors for free.
